Great lodge. Fantastic setting in a remote protected cove. Great fishing close by. Great food. The Millers work very hard to give you the best possible Alaska fishing experience. Been 7 times. Gets better every time. Can't do better than this.

I Worked for this company for 4 days from Jan, 20,2014-Jan,20,16.While working for them they just added a previous addition onto there lodge. I carried between 13-18 box and mattresses by myself and i carried over hundreds pounds of fishing gear. On the third day while carrying about 70 pound box i miss stepped while coming off the ramp and hurt my foot. After finishing all assigned tasks I asked pat miller if i could have a 15 min break because id been working since 6:45 am and it was 4 pm on my feet all day carrying things that were extremely heavy she allowed me to take a break. However, the next day she had me clean the the remaining room of the new addition a but away over 70 boxes of the remaining items that where unused and store all the extra items in the new room that under construction beside the kitchen for 12 hours I labored each day with 15 min meals and (1) 15 min break in 4 days after the lodge was complete this Thursday 6/24/16 she called me in that night to give me the speech on how she was concerned about my leg and she thought it would be best to go home. Pat gave me 200$ in cash for 4 days of 12 hour shifts. She threatened to leave me at the petersburg,Ak airport until i told her i would call the Alaskan department of Labor and a attorney. The next morning she put me on a flight home before the guest came Friday morning before there flight came in. I left my life as an student and correctional officer to come work for her . But, because of a injury that was caused by my carrying really heavy items for her institution and that was not in my job description she sent me home injured and unpaid not even the Alaska's minimum wage . The flight was apart of the agrement to come work if i were to quit then id pay my flight but if i was sent home she'd ( they) take care of it . The job was to pay between 13,000-15,500 with pay and tips but she sent me home with 48 hours of labor with 200$ because she was concerned about my leg. The lodge is beautiful . But , these people are the most Christlike i have ever seen i got her lodge up all bed made and cleaned and running while the guys cleaned the boats and set up fishing gear and the other young lady nailed the bathroom towel hooks and coat racks up. I guess its fair .... the Fishing is great but you are contributing to family of wealthy people who have undocumented workers( No W-2 or I9's for state verification) and no insurance for workers...,
